Youth Development
The Hilda & Preston Davis Foundation provides funds to charitable organizations whose
programs advance the development of all areas of the lives of children and young adults.
The Foundation places special emphasis on, and channels most of its financial resources
toward, those organizations whose attention is concentrated on eating disorders and
education for the underprivileged.
It is the expressed belief of the Davis Foundation that every young person should be
nurtured, protected and taught while they are young, thus allowing them to grow up into
confident, healthy and upstanding adults whose lives can be productive to society and
inspirational to others.
Areas of greatest importance to the Foundation are funded on a national basis. However, a
good deal of the Foundation's grant making in other program areas is focused in areas of
geographic importance to the donors - - the northeastern United States (southern New
England & the middle Atlantic states), as well as California.
