Application Instructions





• NOTE: Letters of inquiry and prescreening are unnecessary. This application is the appropriate first step in submitting a grant request.

• NOTE: The foundation's administrative staff is happy to help with technical questions about the application process but is unable to provide guidance on the fit of the grantee or the structure of the request.

• The Hilda & Preston Davis Foundation's online grant application form has been divided into three sections: Organization Information; Contact Information; and Proposal Information. The application also asks for the organization budget, the project budget (if applicable) and a copy of the IRS Determination Letter. The form allows you to save your work so you can return to it at a later date. You will receive an email from "Foundation Services" [info @fsllc.net] which will contain a link to your account and an estimate on when you might hear back.

• If you previously started or submitted an application, you can access the account you created by clicking here.
Note: you cannot begin a brand new application from within your account; you must use the Application link (though the username & password will be the same).

NOTE: If you encounter problems accessing the online application form, please see the Troubleshooting section below.

If you are repeatedly having trouble accessing the application form, please see the "FAQs" page for assistance.
Note: the Account Page is for reviewing completed and partially completed applications; you cannot start a new application from within your account. You must use the Application link to begin a brand new application.

If you are still unable to resolve the trouble, click here for a Word document version. You can email this completed form, along with your budget(s) & Determination Letter, to davis@fsllc.net. Please include a description of the problems encountered or error messages received when attempting to access the online form. Helpful Tips

• Whenever possible, grant requests should be made using the Grant Application Form. If you are unable to access the application, please review the Troubleshooting section.

• Prior to proceeding to the Online Grant Application, please make sure you have reviewed the Foundation's Guidelines, Instructions and FAQs to ensure your application will receive the consideration that it deserves.

• Visit the"FAQs" page. It contains "Important Uploading Considerations" that could prevent your application from being rejected.

• Be as concise as possible. It may be helpful to type out responses in a separate program and then cut & paste that information directly into the application form. Also, please preview the formatting of your budgets! See our Budget Prep Guide for help.
